Colin Esgro has dedicated his legal career to representing victims of serious civil wrongs, particularly in cases involving nursing home abuse, hospital neglect, sexual abuse, and personal injury. Known for his sharp legal analysis and empathetic client advocacy, Colin approaches each case with both intellectual curiosity and honesty. He is committed to thoroughly understanding every aspect of a case, anticipating potential defenses, and delivering clear and compelling arguments on behalf of those who have suffered harm or loss.
While still a law student, Colin worked as a law clerk for the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General and the Honorable Arthur J. Schwab of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. He then joined a national firm focused on nursing home abuse, where he led cases from start to finish—investigating deeply, advocating fiercely, and guiding clients through litigation in some of the most challenging and emotionally charged circumstances.
In 2021, Colin joined Murray Stone & Wilson, PLLC, reuniting with colleagues who shared his passion for pursuing justice on behalf of everyday people. He primarily represents clients in nursing home and hospital neglect matters, often involving preventable issues like bedsores and pressure injuries. His background also includes product liability, negligent security, premises liability, and other catastrophic injury matters.
Colin’s passion for advocacy began at Scranton High School, where he competed in policy debate, and became a two-time state champion. He continued debating nationally as a scholarship student at the University of Pittsburgh, learning how to argue both sides of an issue—a skill he now uses to his advantage against opponents in litigation. Those early experiences built the foundation for his courtroom confidence and his commitment to being a strong voice for those who need one most.
Colin finds the most fulfillment in standing beside clients during some of the hardest moments of their lives. He takes seriously the trust placed in him by families who have lost loved ones and made the difficult decision to place them in institutional care. His role, as he sees it, is not only to pursue justice but to help shift the focus away from self-blame and toward holding accountable the institutions that failed in their responsibility to provide proper care.
Raised in a working-class neighborhood in Scranton, Colin developed a deep respect for hardworking families and a lasting commitment to advocating for those without privilege or power. That mission continues to guide every case he takes on, ensuring that those with the least power still have a strong voice in the legal system. Originally from Scranton, Pennsylvania, Colin now lives in the Pittsburgh area with his wife and two young sons. He spends much of his free time outdoors, coaching his sons’ flag football and baseball teams.
