Matthew T. Stone is a shareholder at Murray Stone & Wilson and has dedicated his career to advocating for victims of abuse, neglect, and wrongdoing, particularly in cases where powerful institutions have failed. He focuses his practice on nursing home abuse, sexual abuse, and personal injury, with particular experience representing vulnerable elderly individuals who have suffered mistreatment at the hands of those entrusted with their care.

After earning his law degree, Matt served as a law clerk for the Honorable Eduardo C. Robreno in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He joined the leading nursing home abuse law firm in the state before co-founding Murray, Stone & Wilson to practice law in a way that felt more personal and purposeful. He wanted to create space for deeper client relationships, where he could be more hands-on and intentional in how each case was pursued. Matt ensures that every client receives his full attention, thoughtful strategy, and unwavering commitment to accountability and results.

In 2018, Matthew secured what is believed to be the highest sexual abuse nursing home verdict in Pennsylvania history, representing a woman with dementia who was assaulted by another resident with a known history of misconduct. The case reflects what drives Matt as an advocate: giving a voice to those who cannot speak for themselves and helping families find a sense of closure and justice.

Matt understands that by the time clients reach out to him, they’re often overwhelmed with frustration and a deep sense of injustice. He shares that outrage, but also recognizes the importance of grounding it within the legal system. Matt helps clients navigate the process, translating emotions into action and guiding them through what can often be a slow and complex path to accountability. For Matt, success goes beyond winning—it’s about ensuring every client feels heard, respected, and genuinely satisfied with the outcome.

Matt is a Philadelphia native who now lives in the suburbs with his wife, their young son, and two Bernese Mountain Dogs. He enjoys running and dining out with his family.
