MATTHEW T. STONE

BIOGRAPHY

Mr. Stone earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a Juris Doctor from Rutgers-Camden School of Law. Following graduation from law school, Mr. Stone served as a law clerk for the Honorable Eduardo C. Robreno in the United States District Court, for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Prior to forming Murray, Stone & Wilson, Mr. Stone spent several years representing victims of elder abuse and neglect at a national plaintiff’s firm.

In 2018, Mr. Stone obtained what is believed to be the highest sexual abuse nursing home verdict in Pennsylvania history, on behalf of a elderly woman with dementia who was sexually assaulted by another nursing home resident who had a history of sexual misconduct.

AWARDS

Mr. Stone was named a Pennsylvania “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers Magazine, an honor reserved for only 2.5 percent of attorneys in the State of Pennsylvania under the age of 40, from 2013-2017.  Mr. Stone is also a member of the National Trial Lawyers, an organization comprised of the top 100 civil Plaintiff attorneys in Pennsylvania.

Mr. Stone currently serves on the Board of the Philadelphia Lawyers Club and is also a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association and Pennsylvania Association for Justice.
