William P. Murray, III

William P. Murray, III (Bill) is a shareholder based in Tampa. For nearly twenty years, Bill has represented victims of nursing home abuse and neglect, including cases involving sexual abuse, wrongful death, catastrophic injury, and more. He is deeply committed to advocating for vulnerable individuals and holding wrongdoers accountable, regardless of their power or influence.

As a young lawyer, Bill joined one of the nation’s most well-known nursing home abuse law firms, where he took cases to trial in venues such as Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Arkansas, and Tennessee. At his prior firm, he rose through the ranks, managing the firm’s Pennsylvania offices and then co-managing its nationwide practice. Today, after co-founding Murray, Stone, and Wilson, PLLC, he has developed a particular interest in combating corporate gamesmanship in the healthcare industry and in holding negligent care providers accountable. With nine state licenses under his belt, he maintains a nationwide practice and regularly works with clients throughout the United States.

In addition to his work on behalf of nursing home abuse and neglect clients, Bill has also successfully represented victims of trucking accidents, premises liability, and corporate fraud, where he has gone up against Fortune 100 companies and the world’s largest law firms, and won. Throughout his career, Bill has amassed more than $300 million in jury verdicts and settlements on behalf of his clients.

Bill’s law career is driven by his belief that every victim of negligence deserves justice, regardless of their age, income, or background. He takes pride in helping to put society’s most vulnerable people on a level playing field with its most powerful.

A skilled negotiator and advocate, Bill draws on his early experience as a national television and radio commentator, where he regularly engaged in high-stakes, fast-paced debate on outlets including CNN, MTV, ABC, NPR, and more. He credits this experience and his cable news producing background for sharpening his ability to think on his feet, respond strategically under pressure, and ultimately use those same skills to advocate effectively for his injured clients.

Outside the office, Bill is a “girl dad” three times over and is actively involved in the many sports teams his daughters have joined. He also enjoys working out and playing with his dogs, Benny and Mika.
