BIOGRAPHY

Michael Collis brings over thirty years of experience as a trial lawyer representing injured victims and their families.

Mr. Collis studied political science at Washington & Jefferson College and received his Juris Doctor degree from Ohio Northern University college of Law, where he was a member of Law Review, Street Law, a finalist in the Celebrezee Appellate Moot Court Competition, and received the American Jurisprudence book award in Torts.

Early in his career, Mr. Collis was a partner at a Pennsylvania law firm where he focused on personal injury, medical malpractice, product liability, and worker’s compensation matters as both trial and appellate counsel.  More recently, Mr. Collis worked as a senior trial lawyer at a national law firm that focused its practice on nursing home abuse and neglect matters. 

Mr. Collis has recovered tens of millions of dollars for his clients in cases ranging from medical malpractice and nursing home neglect matters to cases involving catastrophic injuries, trucking accidents, fires, and premises liability.

Mr. Collis has served on the Board of Governors for the Pennsylvania Association of Justice and is a member of the Allegheny County Academy of Trial Lawyers. He has also volunteered as a coach for youth softball and soccer teams in the Pittsburgh area.
