The inspection on 4/27/2021 also revealed at least one resident’s call light was frequently positioned out of his reach. On several occasions, the call light was found wrapped around the left rail of the resident’s bed, even though he cannot lift or move his left arm.
Per the inspection report from 4/27/2021, facility staff failed to treat a resident with dignity by talking on a cell phone while feeding him instead of focusing entirely on his care. The resident in question cannot eat independently and requires assistance with meals. Staff are expected to monitor and engage with residents during feeding to build trust and ensure resident safety.
