BIOGRAPHY

Mr. Murray has represented victims of nursing home abuse, corporate fraud, trucking accidents and catastrophic injuries for over fifteen years. He earned his Juris Doctor from American University’s Washington College of Law, where he was awarded the Mooers’ Trophy for excellence in trial practice.

During law school, Mr. Murray worked as a law clerk in the Virginia offices of a national firm that focused its practice on nursing home abuse and neglect. Upon graduating from law school, Mr. Murray continued on as a trial lawyer with the same firm, handling a wide variety of cases and taking cases to trial in venues including New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Arkansas and Tennessee. After being based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and later, in Tampa, Florida, Mr. Murray eventually became one of the firm’s managing attorneys, helping to direct litigation and firm operations nationwide. In 2019, Mr. Murray formed Murray, Stone & Wilson, PLLC, to continue his work on behalf of injured clients and their families.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Murray worked as a spokesman for a national lobbying organization, where he appeared on or was quoted in outlets including The New York Times, CNN, ABC, MTV, NPR, and many others. Prior to that, Mr. Murray worked for a cable news network in its Washington, D.C. studios.

AWARDS

During each year from 2010-2016, Mr. Murray was named a Pennsylvania “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers Magazine, an honor reserved for only 2.5 percent of attorneys in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania under the age of 40. Similarly, in 2019, Super Lawyers Magazine named Mr. Murray to its “Rising Star” list for the State of Florida.

PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL AFFILIATIONS

Mr. Murray is or has previously been a member of multiple organizations, including the American Association for Justice, the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, and several others.  Mr. Murray has also served as a coach for various youth sports teams in New Jersey and Florida, and he volunteered as a Big Brother with the Philadelphia chapter of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
